oh the places I'll go.

Well, I haven't posted in ages.
I've been to Europe and back, spent another semester at school, a summer at home, and I'm ready to go back and begin again.
I love going back and beginning again in the same place. A fresh start with old roots.
I have good friendships, excellent mentors, and passions that I get to live out.
I'm the only one I can change, and it feels awfully good to do so.
So I'm heading off on a new(ish) adventure, armed with a bike, a typewriter, and two willing hands.

summer in the city

IV
For some reason, I feel absolutely gorgeous in this outfit.

This doesn't really make sense because it's kind of grandma-y.

I think I'll wear it out tomorrow, even though I've got no where to go.

duplicity

III
One shirt, two ways.

The age old trick of layering, taken to my advantage.
 Grey
 becomes slightly more interesting
 upon closer acquaintance.

The same friend, in a different mood, appears in this slightly reminiscent set.
 Sleek
 Chic
 not very meek
---
but yet a trace of that innocent school girl
topped off with an excellent shoe.
-ironic pun-
(Maybe someday I'll write good enough puns that I won't feel I have to point them out.)

a little menagerie of inspiration

II

An allusion to menswear with a vest underneath a jacket.

An elegant heel, reminiscent of a salsa dance of yesterday.

A pair of shorts, stolen from a lover, now nearly forgotten.

There can be a story in any outfit.
Even if it isn't true.

Red, White, Blue. Black.

I
Red, White, Blue.

 Sophisticate.
 Dated.
Elegant.

I love to mix patterns like this.
Something about the clashing is more beautiful than any solid color or matching print.

Blazer: Goodwill
Scarf: street vendor in Roma
Skirt: Patagonia
Shoes: Payless

(I apologize for the quality of the photos. I don't have a good venue/camera/photographer yet.)
